Hollyhocks & Happy

It's Mosaic Monday!
I've been MIA for awhile. We went on a wonderful vacation to Seattle & Hawaii and I've been trying to catch up ever since... haven't painted in weeks! Hopefully, life will slow down a bit.

This will be the first September in 21 years that I don't have to go "back to school".
I am so very happy!!!

Check out the great mosaics at Mary's Little Red House and thanks for visiting me today!

I've been MIA as well. Busy summer. Your hollyhock painting is quite cheery.

Your hollyhocks are lovely. I grow black ones. They are pretty unusual.

  15. Reminds me of my mother. Where I grew up she always had thousand of huge hollyhocks all over the garden. Thankyou for reminding me of my childhood.

  16. The paintings of the hollyhock are enchanting! I love hollyhocks. Wish I could paint. But I just "paint" the garden outside, which means I enjoy what grows without much help from me! Lovely, lovely mosaic.

  20. What a beautiful watercolor, Carol! I love hollyhocks! I have a rose of sharon from my grandmother's yard and they remind me of each other. Wooo hooo! Isn't retirement great? I love it that I'm having a cup of coffee in my jammies when I hear the school bus go through the neighborhood. No more bus duty!!! lol Happy week!...Debbie

  24. I would certainly skip a few posts to vacation in Hawaii! Lucky you!

Your painting is so beautiful. I've always admired those of you who can watercolor. They're my favorite paintings.

(And I'm one of those who returned to school.... I'm teaching 91 (and counting) 8th-graders literature and language arts!
