We went to beautiful Ireland some time ago.
It was my mother's dream to see Ireland,
so my daughter, a friend & I accompanied her.
We landed in Shannon on my mother's birthday and took
a land tour around the southern end to Dublin.
Although it was the end of July, the weather was
chilly & rainy but the scenery was so pretty, so peaceful!
I don't think I have ever seen as many shades of green.
Hope your St. Patrick's Day is a lucky one!
(Speaking of luck: another give-away is coming up in
celebration of reaching 100 followers! Stay tuned!)
Oh how festive! Love it!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love how you captured the green along with a lushness that I have always imagined was Ireland.
ReplyDeleteMakes me want to walk through the luscious hillsides! Joan
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL mosaic - my husband lived in Ireland for 2 years - he wants to go back as well!
ReplyDeleteBTW What on earth did you do to your leg?
On my trip to Ireland I saw more shades of green than I ever knew existed! Love your watercolors!

Even the flight into Shannon -- overlooking all those beautiful fields with their many shades of green -- it is such a magical place isn't it? Thanks for sharing your wonderful work, Carol. :)

ReplyDeleteHello sweet friend...
ReplyDeleteOhhh...what a lovely painting of the rolling hills of Ireland! I was reading on another blog...oops, forgot which one now...but they talked about the 40 shades of green in the hillsides of Ireland! I thought that was awesome and so true from all the photos that I've seen! I would love to see those rolling hills with my very own eyes sometime! How incredible that you, your mother, and friend was able to go there! I'm sure your mother was just ecstatic...a long time dream...realized! So sweet!!! Well my dear, talented friend...thank you so much for sharing your fabulous painting with us! I love how you added the shamrock border...awesome!!!
I also see that you injured your foot! Ohhh noooo! I'm so sorry, Darlin'! How in the world did you do that? Sending good thoughts and prayer your way for a quick recovery, Carol!!!
Have a fabulous day, my friend!
