busy, busy!

Here are some projects I recently finished:

Our sofa bed had seen better days but was still usable.

The green houndstooth check was looking worn.

I needed to figure out how I could recover

the sofa bed and still be able to open it up for guests.

The solution was part slipcover & part reupholstering.

The result: looks brand new!

The guest room make-over did not include green!

So I stripped & sanded & painted.

I love black furniture!  A quick change of hardware & some pretty accessories

was all it needed.  The guest room is blue & white & now just right!

The last project was an easy one. I found a painted frame that I

just loved.  But what to put in this frame that wouldn't compete

with the artwork?

A mirror!  The glass store cut a little mirror to fit right inside the frame.

having fun in Photoshop

I 'm having so much fun in Kim Klassen's Photoshop class!

Of course, Buster is a perfect little model.

There is so much to learn & Kim is an excellent teacher!

I was barely scratching the surface of Photoshop before I began.

I have learned so many new tips in just the first lesson!

tree peony love

It's my favorite time of year, especially when the tree peony opens!

I wait so patiently for the buds to grow very slowly and open.

This year there were eight buds!

They were showing just a bit of pink yesterday,

but when I checked this afternoon....

and for much too short a time I have peony love!

Sunshine returned here yesterday & we're starting a gorgeous weekend!

The foyer table is decked out for Easter with a new fluffy white duck

and the bunnies are in place!
