Ah! Gorgeous--that red-on-blue has been extra appealing to me lately. I love the tiny white edges and your soft modeling. I know hollyhocks are very popular in Cape May, but I can't seem to grow them! :-(

This is a beautiful rendition of hollyhocks. They always remind me of flowers growing near a white picket fence. Thanks for joining my humble blog! I'm back to painting after a pretty idle spell.
Oh this is so purtiful! It's gorgeous. I love watercolors and I think your painting is fabulous. I have to go now and check out what else you've painted. Love this!

Welcome to Rednesday! I'm glad you're here! I just love hollyhocks - that's a beautiful painting. Your flowers look so life-like!
OH Carol, Your Hollyhock is absolutely beautiful. Your watercolors are all beautiful... your technique reminds me of the old time Dutch Masters..they'd do single genus botanicals in their travels in water colors, come back, and create oils of the still life paintings we see.Can ya tell I'm a floral designer..heheI'm so glad you popped in at my Blog and am honored you are now a follower. Now that we know where we are lets not be strangers!
very nice watercolor.
