These are in my living room.
I have a large collection of Margaret Furlong shell angels.
This bowl of shells is on a desk.
These are in a curio in my dining room.
.... and in my bathroom on thrift store glass.
You have to be careful not to overdo...just a little here and there.
I painted this shell awhile ago. It was the first time that I painted on
hot press and really liked the outcome.

Hi, Carol. Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving such a nice comment. I love your blog and will be back. Yes, I can take photos, but I can't paint. Looking forward to visiting again and seeing your artwork. And welcome to retirement. It is a time to blossom and devote your time to your passions. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteBest.

The painting of the shell is just beautiful. You really have captured the light and texture. Great.
ReplyDeleteI too love your studios and especially your black friends. I guess you have a lot of fun with them.
Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment! I enjoyed looking at your shell collection and your watercolor is beautiful. If I was a cat, I'd want to live with you. I especially love the quote and illustration at the end of your post! Brings me back to my childhood painting at the kitchen table.
ReplyDeleteThe shell painting is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful shells found here at your Beach Party.
ReplyDelete...especially, your shell that you painted! It is so gorgeous and it looks like I can reach out and pick it up in my hands.
Blessings & aloha!

Great painting! I truly wish I had that talent..., but since I don't I photograph instead (the next best thing, right).
ReplyDeleteSo many pretty shells and I like the way you display them. Your painting is pretty - you are very talented.
ReplyDeleteI love your painting! This is the first year I've decorated with shells. It has been quite fun. Love your shells as well.
