Sea Shells

There's a beach party here at Shabby Chic Cottage!

I have a passion for sea shells.

These are in my living room.

I have a large collection of Margaret Furlong shell angels.

This bowl of shells is on a desk.

These are in a curio in my dining room.

.... and in my bathroom on thrift store glass.

You have to be careful not to overdo...just a little here and there.

I painted this shell awhile ago. It was the first time that I painted on
hot press and really liked the outcome.

I just wanted to let you know that I will post tomorrow about how to get large photos on Blogger. Several people have asked recently, so I will have a little tutorial. Stop by and visit! :)

  3. Hi, Carol. Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving such a nice comment. I love your blog and will be back. Yes, I can take photos, but I can't paint. Looking forward to visiting again and seeing your artwork. And welcome to retirement. It is a time to blossom and devote your time to your passions. Enjoy!

    Best.

I too love your studios and especially your black friends. I guess you have a lot of fun with them.

  5. Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment! I enjoyed looking at your shell collection and your watercolor is beautiful. If I was a cat, I'd want to live with you. I especially love the quote and illustration at the end of your post! Brings me back to my childhood painting at the kitchen table.

...especially, your shell that you painted! It is so gorgeous and it looks like I can reach out and pick it up in my hands.
