busy, busy!

I'm linking up with Marla's Woo Hoo! Wednesday!
Thanks for hosting, Marla!  (She even provides refreshments!)

I'm also posting for DIY Day at A Soft Place to Land!
Here are some projects I recently finished:

Our sofa bed had seen better days but was still usable.
The green houndstooth check was looking worn.

I needed to figure out how I could recover
the sofa bed and still be able to open it up for guests.
The solution was part slipcover & part reupholstering.
The result: looks brand new!

The guest room make-over did not include green!
So I stripped & sanded & painted.

I love black furniture!  A quick change of hardware & some pretty accessories
was all it needed.  The guest room is blue & white & now just right!

The last project was an easy one. I found a painted frame that I
just loved.  But what to put in this frame that wouldn't compete
with the artwork?
A mirror!  The glass store cut a little mirror to fit right inside the frame.
I'm having a give-away..ends May 2!!
Go here to see my first anniversary give-away!

  5. Black looks so great. Good job. Great that you could reuse the sofa and just update it. One less piece in the landfill.
