I love May

I'm joining Laurie for Favorite Things Saturday.

  May is my absolute favorite month!
Before I retired from teaching, May meant getting two art shows ready,
organized and hung...over 1000 pieces for each of my two schools.


I would work like crazy on the weekends to get the garden and patio in shape.


Ahhhhh.....now it's just a pleasure to slowly plant the pots and flats,


spray for weeds between the pavers, 


scrub the outdoor furniture & hammock, 


watch the birds in & out of the birdhouses,


and
just enjoy
the sunshine!

    Carol, can you hear me sighing... These pictures are like little vacations, each one. I just got home from a very hectic morning and your blog is the first one I went to.
    Did you plan this for me? Well, I tend to think so. Oh, these pictures are so beautiful and serene.

    I took a couple of deep breaths after each picture and I am feeling much better.

    We had snow last night and the high temp. is only forcasted to be around 39, so I love, love, love seeing your beautiful flowers! Plants are popping up in the flower gardens here, but they are slow - how I long to dig in the dirt and plant!

    What pretty pictures! I love May too - I feel so inspired by how 'green' the garden is and everything is starting to bloom. We sat in our garden tonight, surrounded by kale flowers which were busy with bees (so nice to see the honey bees) - nothing matches the pure joy of hanging out with nature. Cheerio for now. Michelle

    Simply beautiful, I can't get African Violets to bloom either. My Step-Grandmother could grow beautiful ones, but not me.
